Corporate Social Responsibility

Shepstone & Wylie gives resources and support to the following projects:

  • African Art Centre, which is involved in the upliftment and empowerment of rural black artists, education programmes and workshops
  • BAT Centre Trust, a community arts centre for the promotion and upliftment of visual arts, music and dance to disadvantaged communities
  • Baxter Theatre based at the University of Cape Town which is involved with developmental theatre including dance and drama
  • Cato Ridge Corridor Development Trust
  • Commissioner of the Richards Bay Small Claims Court
  • Durban and Coastal Mental Health which provides services and accommodation for the mentally handicapped
  • KZN Community Chest
  • Natal University Development Foundation (NUDF), which is the fundraising arm of the University of KwaZulu-Natal
  • OPERA AFRICA, which promotes and trains black and disadvantaged opera singers
  • Operation Upgrade, which is involved with adult literacy
  • The Association for the Aged (TAFTA) which provides accommodation and services for the elderly
  • Various pro bono projects, including the South African Law Society mandated pro bono hours
  • Wylie House, which is a state house for girls
