The cities of Durban and Richards Bay and surrounding areas in KwaZulu-Natal Province, South Africa, are currently experiencing violent unrest and rioting in protest against the incarceration of former president Jacob Zuma for contempt of the Constitutional Court.  Public transport has been suspended.  The ports of Durban and Richards Bay are expected to experience delays in vessel operations (berthing, cargo operations and sailing) due to port staff shortages.
