Irwin is an Associate in the Shipping and Logistics department with a special focus on maritime law and customs related disputes. Irwin has experience in ship arrests, handling cargo claims, and the enforcement of maritime claims. He has acted for P&I Clubs, ship owners, charterers, and freight forwarders.
Irwin holds a LLB degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and obtained a merit award for the Maritime module in completion of his degree. Irwin also obtained the highest mark in his year, 2021, for the Understanding Shipping module at the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.
